Chemistry 352 Home Page Chem 352 is one of three half-credit courses and one half-credit lab that, together, provide a broad introduction to the field of analytical chemistry. Other courses in analytical chemistry are Chem 351: Chemometrics, Chem 352: Analytical Separations, and Chem 450: Method Development Lab. The focus of analytical equilibria is the application of equilibrium chemistry in analytical chemistry. Topics covered in this course include a more careful consideration of equilibrium chemistry, including the importance of activity, computation methods for equilibrium chemistry, acid-base titrimetry, liquid-liquid extractions and chromatographic and electrophoretic methods of analysis. The links on this page will take you to several useful resources that will help you throughout the semester. To review the course's syllabus, click on the syllabus link. A copy of the current schedule, with links to class and lab handouts, assignments, and answer keys, is available through the schedule link. Using the tools link will give you access to useful web sites, data bases, and software. Documents explaining how to use the available software and instruments, and how to carry out several lab techniques are gathered under the how to... link. Finally, the archive link provides a repository for all current course materials, as well as a collection of material from previous semesters. |
