I am currently working on
1. a book titled Democracy in the Third World: Why it has succeeded in India and failed in Nigeria. The project is supported by DePauw University’s Faculty Fellowship (2003-2007). I conducted field research in India in January 2006;
2. a monograph on Nuclear Security in South Asia. During a sabbatical leave in 2003, I conducted field research in India where I interviewed India's top nuclear and missile scientists, including K. Santhanam and President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam (see pictures below); and
3. an article analyzing the impact of globalization on India’s Pharmaceutical Industry.
My other research interests include Dependency and Marxism, Globalization and development, Democratic Theory, Technology and Development, International Political Economy, African Politics, South Asian Politics, U.S. Foreign Policy, and International Terrorism. |
