proper professional & ethical standards relating to:
- seeking permission, when appropriate, to be on the premises of the
observational setting for the purpose of making observations;
- obtaining informed consent, when appropriate, from the subjects of
the observations and/or from a legal guardian of the subjects; and
- handling research data (always appropriate) in a confidential, professional
manner.
NOTE #2: If you would like to observe the behavior of children,
adolescents, or adults under more controlled conditions, let me remind
you of the research/laboratory space that is available for such purposes
in the basement of Harrison Hall. See me if you have an interest in using
