There are three basic ways of accessing this site:
Once you are at the board site for your particular course you should register as a member of that board-don't simply use its guest button for entry. EVERY STUDENT IN THE COURSE MUST VISIT THE SITE AT LEAST TO REGISTER EVEN IF NO FURTHER VISITS ARE INTENDED . You should complete your registration before the end of the current week since I will be closing membership at that time. After that, you should not expect me to reopen the board so that you may have another chance to register or to have me enter your membership data myself.
As part of the registration process you will need to designate a "login name" and a "password". For your login name and password I would recommend your VAX userID (e-mail name) and your VAX password, respectively, since I will not have access to your chosen password and it will thus remain confidential to you. But it does not have to be that way. Whatever choices you make, DON'T FORGET THIS INFORMATION once your have entered it! You will need it each time you return to this site, so you may want to record it in a safe place.
If you find yourself bewildered and feeling a bit "lost" the "Help" menu button at the top-right of the WebBoard is a good place to start familiarizing yourself with what can be done on this site and how to do it.
Some of the material on these boards requires RealPlayer
capability on your browser in order for it to be accessed. Several of the
browsers on the computers in the ARC Computer Lab already have this capability.
They are the four that are indicated below. Some earphones are available
in the ARC Computer Lab, or you may bring and use your own.
